ATMA Kuhuboto block conducts BFAC meeting

Dimapur, February 24 (MExN): Block Farmers Advisory Committee (BFAC) meeting was held on February 16 at S. Hotovi Village organised by ATMA Dimapur, Kuhuboto Block.   The meeting was started with an invocation pronounced by Tokuho, BFAC member. The meeting minutes was highlighted by Akavi V.Holo, BTM (ATMA), Kuhuboto Block and Wochamo Patton, A.O & BTT Convenor (ATMA), Kuhuboto Block gave a brief introduction on how ATMA as an extension service works and function its activities for the upliftment and welfare of the farmers.   The meeting was then opened to the members for their valuable inputs and outputs. The members participated actively by pouring out and sharing their experiences in the field of agricultural sectors. Each member took a turn to give their supplements and almost all the members shared about the problems and grievances faced by the farmers, as 90% under Kuhuboto block are dependent on agriculture.

  The members also gave a positive feedback on how the farmers are benefited through various training and demonstrations conducted at the block level by ATMA. The members also encouraged the ATMA officials to continue the good works carried out by imparting more extension technology knowledge through trainings and demonstrations in various agriculture and allied sectors.   The meeting was conducted under the chairman of Visheli, who is also a BFAC member, under Kuhuboto Block. The meeting concluded with a fruitful interaction among the members on various topics related to agricultural extension and its allied sectors. The members also discussed on the tenure of chairmanship and finally decided that the tenure of the chairmanship will be of 3 (three) years. Altogether 20 BFAC members attended the meeting.
