ATMA Kuhuboto conducts capacity building cum training

Dimapur, December 6 (MExN): ATMA Dimapur Kuhuboto Block conducted capacity building cum training on organic farming and package and practices of Tomato on December 5. The resource person for the training was Akavi V. Holo, BTM (ATMA), Kuhuboto Block and Yimobendang, ATM (ATMA), Kuhuboto Block.  

Akavi highlighted on the important components and benefits of organic farming. He elaborated that organic farming is a production system which avoids or largely excludes the use of synthetic inputs. This system relies on legumes, green manures, crop rotation, animal manures, biofertilizers etc. Yimobendang illustrated on the importance of nursery management of tomato. He explained that the spacing should be given due importance and gentle caring should be taken during transplantation. The programme concluded with interaction with the participants. It was chaired by Ameto, ATM (ATMA), Kuhuboto Block.
