ATMA Dimapur Niuland Block conducted demonstration on cultivation practices of groundnut (TAG 24) at Niuland on May 22. Roben Singh, ACTO Agronomy, KVK Dimapur, demonstrated seed treatment of groundnut seed with Phosphate Solubilizing Bacteria and Rhizobium. He advised the farmers to follow proper spacing while sowing the seeds and stressed on the necessary inter-culture operations-weed management and ‘earthing up’ which are critical for good production of groundnut. During the programme, appropriate physical distancing was maintained and COVID 19 safety kits and information pamphlets about precautionary measures were distributed to the farmers.
