Peren, April 22 (MExN): ATMA Peren block conducted one day training and demonstration on bee keeping and its management at Peletkie village on April 19. Vinatoli, BTM spoke on the benefits and practices of bee keeping in detail and also demonstrated on its management by using bee box. The participants were encouraged to take up bee keeping as it is cheap and does not involve much labour. Mapeuheile Ndang AO & Convener highlighted the activities of ATMA and also chaired the programme. Around 25 farmers participated in the programme.
ATMA Peren also organised capacity building, mobilisation of farmers groups and demonstration for farmers from New Peren and Kejanglwa village on April 13. Food security and commodity interest groups were formed. Ibotui HEA and BTT member demonstrated on mushroom cultivation. Altogether 19 farmers attended the programme.
