ATMA Sechü Zubza block conducts field day

Zubza, March 2 (MExN): ATMA Sechü Zubza block conducted a field day cum demonstration on kholar and green pea cultivation in Kiruphema on February 27.

The resource person, Keviravono Visa, ATM discussed about the method of cultivation practices of kholar and green pea. Land preparation, favourable climatic conditions, intercropping and methods of staking the peas were discussed in detail. She further stressed on the need to follow the technical support given by the ATMA which will lead to better yield of the crop.

Frontline demonstration of preparing the land and sowing of seeds were done followed by the participants numbering 12 farmers.

Kajini Isabella Zinyu, BTM, briefed the participants about ATMA and how it was striving to reach out to farmers by providing technical knowledge, necessary assistance and providing seeds and making sure that they get the maximum yield and profit from farming.

She also appraised them on the importance of field day and the demonstrations which are being conducted. Sechü block also conducted two demonstrations on February 26 in Khonoma viz cultivation practices of green pea and cultivation practices of coriander and carrot. Seeds were distributed to the participants.
