DIMAPUR, SEPTEMBER 10 (MExN): Agricultural Technology Management Agency (ATMA), Wozhuro block organized Kisan Gosthi and training program in convergence with sericulture at Phiro and Wozhuro community hall, Wozhuro on September 1 and 2. 

Giving the opening remarks, Shanchobeni Humstoe, BTT Convenor highlighted the importance of Kisan Gosthi to the participants. Benthunglo Murry, BTM ATMA spoke on the importance and steps involved for post harvest management of fruits and vegetable where she demonstrated on preparation of tomato puree. 

Edward Humtsoe, Extension officer (DSO) deliberated on practices of Eri seed grainage operation. He emphasized on the importance of Eri silkworm rearing technology and also urged the farmers to aim for producing seed cocoons on large scale in order to improve the social economic status of the farmers. 

Later, the resource person demonstrated on identification of male and female during cocoon/pupae stage and importance and process of feeding and bed cleaning. Closing remark was delivered by Dr Zuchanbemo Khuvung, ATM. All together 25 farmers and 4 officials attended the training program. Inputs like castor seed, 200 DFLF leaflets were distributed to the participants.
