Akuhaito, January 7 (MExN): The Atoizu Range Students’ Union (ARSU) held its 42nd conference with the theme ‘Dream, Dare and Deliver’ at Akuhaito town. Er Picto Shohe, MLA 32 A/C Atoizu graced the occasion on January 5, stated a press release issued by PRO, NDPP 32 A/C Atoizu. 

Picto in his speech said that with the coming of the Christianity among the Sümis at Aizuto Mission Center, the educational system was influenced which led to the establishment of educational institutions. “Aizuto being under Atoizu constituency, the people of Atoizu were blessed to race among the others in quest for educational thoughts and feelings,” he stated. 

The MLA said that after Nagaland got Statehood in 1963, Atoizu with its first elected MLA till his predecessor, many changes and developments have taken place and he appreciated the former leaders. In continuation to the development by the former leaders, Picto highlighted his works done during his leadership. 

The programme started with hoisting the flag by special guest. Invocation was offered by Rev Mulaho Assumi, Pastor Yeshuluto Baptist Church, welcome song by Sümi Totimi Loka Akuhaito town, welcome address was delivered by Iketo H Zhimo, President, ARSU.
