ATRPFM presents the situations of tribals in Manipur at the ITC

Newmai News Network Imphal | November 17   The All Tribal Rights Protection Forum, Manipur (ATRPFM) presented the issues of of the tribal people in Manipur at the ongoing International Tribal Conclave in Jamshedpur, Jharkhand.   The event themed ‘Samvaad-Tribal Conclave, 2018’, which began on November 15 will culminate on November 19 is being organized by Tata Steel.   Manipur tribal rights body, about 2,000 people from 134 tribes are taking part in the programme.   The ATRPFM presented on “Tribal Culture and Identity” and “Land and Forest Rights” on November 17. The tribal body will be presenting on “Tribal Perspective on Governance and Development” and “Peace Building and Conflict Resolution” on November 19.   The conclave is fostering a shared perspective on “Coming Together for Social Change”, ATRPFM informed.   Six ATRPFM members participating in the event will also meet the Chief of CSR (Corporate Social Responsibility), Tata Steel, Sourav Roy on November 18 for discussion of various issues confronting the tribal people of Manipur.
