Dimapur, February 25 (MExN): A ten-day workshop on 'Basic Culinary Practices and Food Preservation' was held at North East Christian University (NECU), Burma Camp, Dimapur from February 12-22.
The workshop was sponsored by the Government of Nagaland in collaboration with the State Institute of Hotel Management (SIHM) and Nagaland Tool Room and Training Centre (NTTC).
As per an NECU release, a total of 18 participants comprising of housewives, hostel/PG proprietors and catering groups participated in the workshop.
The participants were given training on the basics of food preparation using various ingredients and also various food preservation methods.
The resource persons were Ajano Tungoe, Senior Dietitian, Putonuo Hospital; Vinikali K Yepthomi, AC, NRLM; and faculties of SIHM and NTTC.
