• Sir-Through the esteemed columns of your new-daily, I wish to bring to the notice of the Election Office regarding the random omission of the names of electorates from the so called “Intensive Electoral Roll Revision 2005” of the Samziuram village.
Whether intentional or not, on the part of the concerned office, this omission in total disregards of the voter’s ID and previous records, I believe is uncalled for and need immediate rectification in order to avoid any complication in further electioneering process.
Amongst the three blocks of Samziuram village, B Block has borne the brunt of this random deletion.
Anomalies are that the names of householders are included, while the names of his/her spouse or kin are missing and vice versa.
In other cases, the names of whole household are omitted. About 400 bonafide voter’s names has been missing from the electoral roll in this manner from B Block alone.
Such omission by the concerned office without proper verification, I believe would surely have an adverse effect on the future election.
Taking this fact into considerations, we have again submitted the names of the genuine voters after obtaining the forms with much difficulty, some of which have to be Photostat due to shortage.
Therefore I appealed to the Election Office to take proper care and consider for inclusion the names of those omitted in the on-going correction round.
