Auditions for Summer Beat Contest 1.0 from June 4

The Summer beat version 1.0 is scheduled to begin soon, with auditions on June 4 and the finals on July 2. The contest is an idea cradled by Blend Productions for over a decade.   The winner of the contest will get a prize money of Rs 1,00,00 along with a slot to play at the ZIRO music festival 2016 in Arunachal Pradesh.   The auditions, starting June 4, will be held at Town Hall, Dimapur, from 10:00am onwards.   A press note from the organizers hoped that this beat contest would “go to influence potential individuals and bands and deserving talents to strive in music with a hint of hope. We have spent much time admiring the idea to give a chance to the thing we love most which is to promote and help bands.”

  They expressed optimism at the response from local bands, as well as confirmations bu bands from neighboring states.   “This is a humble start not only to give a chance to bands looking for a stage but also to try our very best in promoting the bands in ways more than just the contest. And with a little help from friends we hope to make this event grow,” the organizers added.
