August Rush, an exhibition of art, organised by Richa Productions will be held on August 15 at The Heritage, Kohima. With the main idea to promote upcoming artists the event will showcase different art forms such as Painting, Music, Dance, Street art, Cosplay etc.
Renowned artists Abiogenesis, Mengu Suokhrie, Toshimoa Jamir, Samuel, Saronthung Kikon, Jano Nyekha will be performing at the event. August Rush will also introduce upcoming artists of dance, fashion, photography such as Dexterian Girls, The Momentum Crew, Nagaland Street Art (Freelance Artist), Mhayani Kikon (Freeelance Artist), Thejao Sekhose (Fashion Artist), Ade Newme (Freelance photographer) and Nagaland Anime Junkies.
The event is headed by Setolü Veswuh, with Aribah Kips as the Event Manager, Dr. Teputo Richa as Event Coordinator, Echu Konyak as Artists Manager, Roselyn Singsit as Asso. Director, and Sweyiekhunu Khatso as Script Writer.
The team further aims to make August Rush an annual event, which will be produced as episode wise series and also made available on social media sites.
The young team views that despite the many events in Nagaland there is very less marketing for Naga artists. August will also focus on original artists. Most artists have a small fan base so August Rush wishes to bring together all the fan bases, said Dr. Teputo Richa. Due to the lack of radio channels and tv channels to promote local artists, the August Rush team aims to promote the artists through their event which will be uploaded in their social media pages.
It may also be noted that the team is working with zero budget but is hopefully expecting a huge turnout at August Rush.
Richa Production is a production house that was launched in January 2016 and works on professional photography, filmmaking, directions, wedding photography and videography.
