Dimapur, June 21 (MExN): With reference to the Advertisement No NPSC/CON-35/2009 dated the 17th June 2011, the Association of Unemployed Mechanical Engineers Nagaland (AUMEN) demand clarification on the recent NPSC (Combined Technical Examination) result declaration. AUMEN president Vizokhoto Tetso and general secretary Viketuo Rote in a press note stated that a total number of 6 (Six) post (1 Lecture, 1 Junior Engineer and 4 Motor Vehicle Inspector) which was eligible for degree holders, whereas 5 (five) post were eligible for diploma holders for the same. But as per the result declaration, only 7 (seven) candidates were shortlisted for viva-voce against the 6 (six) post which was advertised. NPSC have stated that 3:1 ratio cannot be maintained, citing the reason that there were insufficient candidates with requisite qualifying marks. It is discourage and disgrace for all the aspirant candidates.
Therefore, the AUMEN states that even in NCS and allied service exams candidates are selected based on the merit marks scored by them and the ratio of 3:1 is being maintained and hence, demands the same; If multiple choice of posts cannot be maintained, then Degree and Diploma holders’ results should be declared separately based on the merit and preference given by the candidates; Inorder to bring transparency to every candidate, NPSC should publish answer keys before conducting vive-voce, so that candidates can undergo re-evaluation; To declare the list of marks obtained by the candidate on the merit basis as adopted by UPSC (IES) pattern.
The AUMEN requests the higher authority to look into the matter and make a genuine outcome.
