Medziphema, September 20 (MExN): The Zeliangrong Village Dimapur (ZVD) and Tsiepama Youth Senior Team (YST) won their respective matches on Day-3 of the ongoing Autumn Cup 2023 in Medziphema.
In the first match, ZVD secured an emphatic 3-1 win over Team Medziphema.
Though Team Medziphema took the lead in the 31st minute through Shalo, ZVD’s Mangkholen equalised within 7 minutes.
The game was taken away from Team Medziphema when ZVD’s Watson and Pramod found the net again in the 55th and 58th minutes, respectively.
Meanwhile, Tsiepama YST defeated the Falcon United Club with a solitary goal in the second match.
Pelekhoto scored the winning goal in the 54th minute.
Autumn Cup 2023, a football tournament for players over the age of 35, is being organised by the Chümoukedima District Football Referee Board (CDFRB) under the theme, “Health First.”
A total of 9 teams from different districts are taking part in the tournament, being played on a league-cum-knockout system.
