Nakachari, November 12 (MExN): A Light House tower was dedicated at Assam Valley Baptist Mission (AVBM) HQ at Nakachari, Jorhat district in Assam in honour of late Rev I Lima Jamir, Pastor, Kumlong Baptist Church commemorating his first death anniversary on November 12.
It is pertinent to mention that the Kumlong Baptist Church (KBC) has been partnering with the AVBM since the year 2009 to date in doing mission activities in many ways. Late Rev I Lima has truly lead the church in coordinating with AVBM till he breathed his last on November 21, 2021, stated a press release received here.
In order to bind a more meaningful relationship both with the Church and the family members of late Rev I Lima, the AVBM has decided to build a memorial in the form of a Light Tower in honour of the deceased, it stated.
The Light House was inaugurated by Yashimakla, wife of late Rev I Lima Jamir and dedicated by Kikum Longkumer, Pastor, KBC. Aowati, elder brother of Rev I Lima delivering a speech on behalf of the family members thanked the AVBM for the meaningful get together.
AVBM President highlighted the genesis on this Light House saying – it is actually a multipurpose tower consisting of not only Lights but Water Tanks and Watch Tower too signifying Vision, water for elixir of life and Lights, all of which guiding AVBM comparable only to the assistances continuously extended by KBC.
Huni Gogoi, AVBM Evangelist initiated the dedication programme, invocation said by T Panger Jamir, Pastor Nakachari Ao Baptist Church.
