Dimapur, November 6 (MExN): The Naga Peoples’ Front (NPF) party and the DAN coalition congratulates the Chief Minister and the DAN Government for winning the prestigious “Most Improved State” in “Infrastructure Development” at the India Today State of the State Awards held in New Delhi. NPF Secretary General, KG Kenyie in a press communiqué stated that the award “justifies the truth that the DAN Government has done tremendously in the field of development especially in establishing infrastructure.” He also stated that the award “proves that the performance of the DAN Government is being recognised at the national level by not only the Central Government but by recognised independent agencies.”
Kenyie stated that the DAN Government under the leadership of the Neiphiu Rio and NPF President Dr. Shürhozelie deserves to be congratulated on its excellent performance over the past eight years. The NPF and DAN also congratulate the government machinery for its contributions in bringing all round development in Nagaland under the vision and leadership of the DAN Government. It is also the assurance of the DAN will continue to work tireless for the overall uplift of the people and for the progress of the State.
The India Today State of the State Awards is considered one of the most independent assessments of the State Governments using recognised and acceptable parameters, Kenyie stated. The award was given away by Union Finance Minister Pranab Mukherjee. The Minister while endorsing the awards stated that, the State of the States Awards by the India Today Group is one of the most prestigious awards and gives an accurate assessment of the performance of the State Governments throughout the country. In his support of the awards, Mukherjee stated that the awards are good for Indian polity and recognises the performance of the State governments.
