DIMAPUR, MAY 24 (MExN): In continuation with celebrating Amrit- Utsav 100 cities: 100 events, Kohima Smart City Development Limited organized an awareness campaign on Tobacco and its harmful impacts.
This programme was initiated in commemoration of World No Tobacco Day 2023 with Dr Arenla Walling, State Nodal Officer, National Tobacco Control Programme Nagaland as the resource person.
Dr Arenla Walling in her presentation enlightened the gathering with latest data on Tobacco consumption in Nagaland and the disease burden.
She also encouraged the Smart City Authority to implement strict compliance of COTPA section 4, 6 and 7. To mark the significance of this occasion, all members present took Anti-tobacco pledge to promote healthy living.
