
Dimapur, April 24 (MExN): An awareness programme on skill development and National Career Service (NCS) was conducted at Eastern Christian College (ECC), Padum Pukhuri, Dimapur on April 24.
It was jointly organised by the District Employment Exchange Dimapur, National Career Service Centre for Differently Abled and the Career Guidance & Placement Cell of ECC. ECC students from both arts & commerce streams participated in the programme, stated a press release issued by the organisers.
District Employment Officer, Dimapur, Gideon L Sumi delivered the motivational talk and urged upon the educational institutions to give emphasis on skill development courses side by side with academic courses. A short speech was delivered by Dr T Mohan, Assistant Director, National Career Service Centre for Differently Abled Dimapur.
The team from Emporium Skill Training Institute Dimapur highlighted training facilities and placements under aviation, food & beverage and cruise lines.
Yapangsangla LKR, Young Professional under National Career Service shared about the NCS portal, its benefits for the Jobseekers, Employers and placement organizations. She also highlighted that the jobseekers can avail free skill courses like DigiSaksham by Microsoft and Career skills by tcsiON.
