Awareness programme on water pollution under Swachhta Action Plan was held at Jalukie town and Tening town respectively on March 21 and 22.
Peren, April 20 (MExN): The Liangmai Students’ Union Nagaland (LSUN) in collaboration with Nagaland Pollution Control Board organized an awareness programme on water pollution under Swachhta Action Plan at Jalukie town and Tening town respectively on March 21 and 22.
The resource person, Tingwangsi Newmai, President, LSUN in his address emphasized on the importance of water. He stated that most arid areas of the world depend entirely on water and that it envisages at large proportion for drinking, sanitation, food production and industrial purposes.
The resource person at Jalukie Town, Kibouwi Zeliang, General Secretary, Zeliangrong Student’s Union Nagaland urged the citizens to dedicate themselves by practicing ways to control water pollution in their daily lifestyle.
The programme was attended by students, women society and youths from neighbouring villages under Peren District.
