Awareness prog on violence against women held

Kubolong, July 31 (MExN): An awareness programme on violence against women was conducted at RD Block Kubolong from July 25 till July 31 for the community of Khanimu, Longjang, Longpha, Chami, Mopungchuket and Sungratsu villages.
The programme was organised by District Level Centre for Women (Mahila Shakti Kendra) in collaboration with Nagaland State Rural Livelihoods Mission (NSRLM) RD Block, Kubolong.
A press release informed that the resource person for the awareness programme was Moamenla Longkumer, Women Welfare Officer (DLCW), Mokokchung. Moamenla shared on three stages of violence against women, which are domestic violence, community violence and state violence. She shared on different services provided by for the women in case of emergency which are women helpline 181, Sakhi one stop centre, legal aid services, counselling service and different helpline numbers which will be available 24x7 for the welfare of a women. Government Schemes/ programs, training and capacity building for empowerment of rural women were also shared during the awareness.
