Awareness programme on E-Shram Portal at Noklak

Noklak, October 29 (MExN): An Awareness Programme on e-Shram Portal (National Database of Unorganised Workers) for various categories of workers under the aegis of Ministry of Labour & Employment, Goverment of India, was held on October 28 at Noklak.

According to a DIPR report, Noklak Deputy Commissioner Hiazu Meru addressed the programme and encouraged the eligible workers to get enrolled under the scheme. The DC emphasized on documents like Aadhaar card, bank account and mobile number which are primarily required for direct benefits schemes and other documentation. The district administration is ready to assist all the requirements for the successful implementation of scheme in the district, the DC added.

Assistant Labour Commissioner, Tuensang with additional charge of Noklak, Lilongla Sangtam highlighted on the importance of getting registered in the portal for availing all kinds of benefits from the Government. Stating that the scheme includes beneficiaries like construction workers, migrant workers, gig & platform workers, domestic workers, agriculture workers and other unorganised workers, Lilongla highlighted the benefits and elaborated on the mode and eligibility for registration.  Khengo from CSC center Noklak explain in detail regarding the objective of the Portal, the DIPR reported. 

Chairing the meeting, SDO (Civil) Noklak, C Phuniang called upon the gathering to disseminate information to all the beneficiaries under Noklak district to enrol themselves and get benefit from the scheme. The programme was attended by District Administration, Village Council Chairpersons, VDB secretaries, ward chairpersons of Noklak town and workers.
