An awareness programme on tobacco and addiction was held in North Town Higher Secondary School, Chümoukedima on October 8. Dr C Tetseo, Nodal Officer, District Tobacco Control Cell, NTCP spoke on the danger of indulging in addictive substance like tobacco drugs and alcohol in young adults. He said such habits become a lifelong problem when it is started when the brain is still developing and urged the students not to risk their lives. He encouraged the students who gave a miss to MR vaccination in their school to get it during the campaign.
