
Dimapur, April 27 (MExN): MSW students from North East Institute of Social Science and Research (NEISSR) in collaboration with Sakhi One Stop Centre conducted awareness on ‘violence against women through role play’ at Sachu colony, Dimapur on April 26.
Sakhi One Stop Centre highlighted on providing medical assistance, police assistance, psycho-social support, legal aid, shelter and video conferencing to the women victims suspected of or are under violent threat.
Meanwhile, the MSW students shared on promoting clear concept of protecting and providing justice to the women victims who face violence through different ways – domestic violence, cohabitant living, physical violence, emotional violence, cyber harassment.
Inakali, counsellor of Sakhi One Stop Centre discussed about various forms of violence and how Sakhi One Stop Centre can be assistance to the victim. She mentioned that one can also dial 181, a toll free number, in order to be accessible to the stop centre.
Weri, Administrator, Sakhi One Stop Centre thanked the community people for being a part of the programme and the MSW students for spreading awareness through role play.
