Mokokchung, November 17 (MExN): The All Ward Union, Mokokchung (AWUM) in its Presidential council meeting on November 17 resolved on sale and bursting of crackers and tethering dog.
The meeting was held at the treasurer’s residence. A press release from AWUM President R Ayim Longkumer and Secretary Lanumeren stated that the union resolved to “ban sale and bursting of Crackers all the wards of Mokokchung Town with immediate effect.”
It further resolved and informed all dog owners to keep their dogs chained and not to allow them to roam openly. “All the Ward authority is informed to ensure strict implementation and is to penalize the defaulters of these resolutions,” it stated.
