DIMAPUR, FEBRUARY 25 (MExN): The Angami Youth Organisation (AYO) has called for efforts from all sections to ensure peaceful, free and fair Nagaland State Assembly elections which will be held on Tuesday, February 27. A press note from the AYO directed all its range units (CYO, NAYO, SAYO and WAYO) to co-ordinate with the District Administration in their respective areas to ensure an environment congenial for a smooth, free and fair election while exercising one’s adult franchise. It meanwhile acknowledged all Angami contesting candidates and their supporters “for a peaceful atmosphere free of poll related violence in Angami areas till date.” The AYO further appealed to the electorate to adhere to the Election Model Code of Conduct.
