The Angami Youth Organisation reiterates its earlier press communiqué warning excommunicated candidates from any part of Nagaland related to town and municipal elections not to take refuge in Angami areas of Dimapur and Kohima. AYO also gives an addition to its previous statement. Which is, any family or house owner in the Angami areas detected harbouring these negative characters under their roof currently or gets reported to have being doing so even at a later date will be held accountable and viewed seriously. At the same time AYO wishes to thank all concerned for paying heed of our directive and adhering to it.
AYO with all sincerity prays that the current imbroglio is resolved collectively by our Naga elders, our legal luminaries, our intellectuals, legislators and the government at the earliest keeping in mind the interest of our future generation and not just the present.
Till such time a consensus and honourable decision is arrived AYO will do all within its capability to uphold and protect the current or any future APO resolution which was passed in the interest of Angamis in particular and Nagas in general.
However it may be noted that every Angami has finally heeded to the voice of its community and Nagas in general by not filing their nominations and if nominated withdrawn or pledging to relinquish office even if they had failed to withdraw on time as advised.
Therefore AYO gives its humble and deepest appreciation to all its community members once again to the old and the young and both genders for the exemplary courage and readiness to serve under APO/AYO. And for restrain and cooperation shown no matter which ground we stood upon due to our respective duties and obligations. Not to forget all those who prayed to God for peace to prevail and those who encouraged AYO to be steadfast. God bless all and may good sense prevail.
