Kohima, October 28 (MExN): Hectic preparations are on for the silver jubilee celebration of the Angami Youth Organisation (AYO), which is scheduled to be held on November 4 and 5 at Kigwema village.
The Organising Committee of the AYO silver jubilee had a meeting with all its sub-committees on October 27 at Kigwema village to check on the progress of preparations of the celebration. The various committees presented the status of their progress. AYO president Medo Yhokha announced that more than 10,000 delegates will be participating in the jubilee celebration.
On November 4, the jubilee monolith will be inaugurated by Chief Guest Neiphiu Rio, MP, Lok Sabha at 10:30 am at Shürho view point above Kisama Heritage Village.
In view of the celebration, the AYO is hosting a press conference on October 30 at 2:00 pm at Kigwema village ground. AYO Silver Jubilee Media Committee convenor, Xavier Rutsa has requested all media personnel to attend the press meet.
