Azhalhou Kire today emerged the champion title of the 38th Wrestling Meet (Naga style) of Gariphema Village Youth Organization (GVYO), held at Gariphema village multipurpose hall.

Kezhalezo Kire, Peteneilhou Kets and Khriezetuo Kire stood 2nd, 3rd and 4th position respectively.

Neikhrietuo Kelelie bagged the champion title in Under 16 Category while Thepfusao Pielie, Kekhriengulie Pielie and Neikeduo Chiese stood 2nd, 3rd and 4th position respectively.

Roko Angami, Director of coaches, Nagaland Football Association (NFA) & president, Nagaland Football Coaches Association (NFCA) graced the meet as the chief guest. He called upon the villagers to stay united and build leaders who would be able to lead the people tomorrow.

Earlier, the inaugural function was chaired by GVYO general secretary Pelesetuo Pielie while GVYO president Vikholie Kire delivered presidential address.

GVYO wrestling secretary Kuolietuo Kets administered oath to the wrestlers.
