Azo tells parents to invest in their children

Minister for PWD (Roads & Bridges) & parliamentary affairs Kuzholuzo (Azo) Nienu on Saturday said a time has come to invest in their children for a bright future. In this, he called upon the parents to support and take care of their children for securing a bright future.

He also stressed on the need to help and strengthen one another and to sail on equal footing.
Speaking at the 7th general session of the Phekmi Welfare Union, Kohima (PWUK) here Saturday at Highland Park, the minister said "we need to strengthen and support one another and to grow on equal footing."

The minister said peace and unity is a must, adding the size of the population may be small but when there is peace and unity then a congenial atmosphere would surround the community.

Congratulating the new team of office bearers, the minister called upon them to work with utmost dedication and sincerity for the progress and welfare of the community. He asked them to have a zeal and burning desire to work for the betterment of the community. He also stressed on the need to have healthy competition among the people in order to enhance the standard of living.

PWUK president Salie Khesoh in his address acknowledged the minister Kuzholuzo Nienu, belonging to Phek village for helping the community in many ways and bringing a drastic change. The session cum picnic was hosted by Salie Khesoh & family.

The new team of office bearers for 2014-16 is as follows: President – Vechisa Venuh, vice president – Zhokupa Hoshi, general secretary- Kuvehü Soho, assistant general secretary- Nükutholü Nienu, treasurer- Shevoduyi Venuh and Besuve Nienu as publicity secretary. The village representatives included; Kotisu- Zhokhoto Vero, Tezatsu- Veshekhoyi, Phek Basa- Mutuveyi, Phek village- Kusapa Rhakho, Phek Town- Bizo Vero and Chosaba- Sakuto.
