AZSU (AMN) urges apex bodies to ‘reconcile & reunite’

Dimapur, May 15 (MExN): The All Zeliangrong Students’ Union (AZSU), Assam, Manipur and Nagaland has urged the Zeliangrong Baudi and Zeliangrong Union to “reconcile and reunite the Zeliangrong people at large.” This was announced at the AZSU (AMN) 3rd Dimki held in Jalukie on May 13 last.

The Dimki also took “strong exception of the existing two apex bodies, thereby creating confusion and disharmony amongst the people.” This was stated in a Press Appeal released today by AZSU (AMN) President Nchaheing Kompoing.

The AZSU (AMN) urged the two bodies to “reconsider” their positions in the interest of the people and stand by the November 15, 2016, Joint Resolution held at the Zeliangrong Union building in Imphal—“to unite and work for the welfare and unity of the Zeliangrong community.”

The Union also acknowledged the works of three of its leaders, namely N Diswang, K Elu Ndang and T Mirhu towards reconciliation, urging them to carry the process forward and arrive at a “logical conclusion” before May 20.
