The Business Advisory Committee (BAC) held it meeting here on June 25 under the chairmanship of Nagaland Legislative Assembly (NLA) speaker Vikho-o Yhoshu and finalized the provisional programme for the ensuing Fourth Session of the 13th NLA assembly.
The committee decided to hold the session on August 6 and 8.
Business to be taken up during the session includes; laying of annual administrative report, introduction of government bills, introduction of government resolution, laying of reports/ rules, presentation of assembly committee reports, discussion on matters of public importance, if any, etc.
Meanwhile, under Rule 8 (1) of the Rules of Procedure and Conduct of Business in the NLA, the NLA speaker has fixed August 6 as the date for holding of election of the Deputy Speaker by the members of the NLA.
Date of filing nomination papers with immediate effect till 3 pm on August 1, date of withdrawal from 12 noon to 3pm on August 3 and date of election, if any on August 6.
