Wokha, November 19 (MExN): Baghty Town observed Global Diabetes Awareness week on November 17 by conducting a diabetes walk which was flagged off by Simon Humtsoe SDO(R&B).
An awareness talk was held at the Town Hall with Yentsao Murry, Chairman, Baghty Town Council, C. Murry, Hd GB, Laptingtsu Diector RAF, Nmhalo Yanthan, Chairperson Baghty Women Hoho, John Murry Chairman, Soku Village Council, James Murry, Executive Director ZWS and WC Humtsoe CF BYWCD taking part in the panel discussion.
The panel discussion started with an invocation prayer by the Associate Pastor Baghty Town Baptist Church. The Catechist of Baghty Town Catholic Church pronounced the benediction prayer.
It was followed by free diabetes screening Test.
The programme was organised in network with Zion Welfare Society, Rural Area Foundation, and Baselia Mission Society and supported by the partnership programme of WDF (Denmark) and Bethesda Youth Welfare Centre, Dimapur, Project WDF -15/1245.
