BALIJAN, OCTOBER 30 (MExN): Balijan English School under Bokajan sub-division of Karbi Anglong district, Assam, commenced its annual sports meet on October 29 under the motto, “Let's bring laurel under discipline, team spirit and leadership.”
Addressing the students at the inaugural programme, Rama highlighted the importance of games and sports in students' lives and urged them to respect the spirit of sportsmanship and bring laurels to the school through their participation. He said games and sports not only keep students physically fit but also contribute to mental well-being and the overall development of the body, mind and spirit.
Following the inaugural address, students were divided into three houses, namely Galaxy House, Rainbow House and Sunshower House, to compete in various sporting events. The three-day annual sports meet will conclude on October 31.
