Bambusa opens in Kohima

Morung Express News Kohima | February 19   “Good stuff at reasonable prices” Bambusa has opened its family restaurant in Kohima at High School Junction area. A good news for foodies, Bambusa offers multi-cuisines in its menu that is Chinese, Sikkimese, Indian and local Naga food.  

A fourth for the renowned restaurant but the very first for Kohima since its formation in 2013, Bambusa is located at the second floor of the High School Junction building above Baskin Robbins. Bambusa offers home delivery, catering services, theme parties and kids’ meal as a new attraction.   The bamboo interiors of the restaurant is designed by Vizo Putsure, a Bamboo architect.   “Our main idea is to showcase the versatility of bamboo as an interior and exterior design material.” says Medo Putsure, proprietor of Bambusa while talking about the idea and formation of Bambusa, an initiative of NDBA formed in 2013. With one of its chief emphasis on the employment of local youth, Bambusa employs 45 Naga youth.
