BAN appeals village councils not to restrict movement of farmers

Dimapur, April 29 (MExN): The Business Association of Nagas (BAN) today appealed to village councils in and around Dimapur to allow movement of farmers and their produce as directed by the state government. 


“It has come to BAN’s notice that many farmers are not allowed to transport their produce to the market by village councils/village gates,” the Association stated in a press release, while pointing out that the state government has issued directives to not to restrict movement of agriculture and horticulture products.


As such, it requested village councils to allow movement of farmers and their produce and also appealed to the concerned District Administration to give one window permit for transporting.
