Morung Express News Dimapur | April 19 Volunteers of the Rengma Hoho and Lotha Hoho enforced a bandh today, April 19, on National Highway-2 from 5:00 am to 5:00 pm on their respective sectors. It was informed that normal life in Tseminyu and Wokha was not affected due to the bandh. After a meeting of the two organizations today, however, the bandh has now been called off. The Rengma Hoho and Lotha Hoho were demanding the immediate commencement of works on NH -2 in Tseminyu and Wokha sectors that has been lying in deplorable condition. The Department of Works & Housing and PWD (National Highways), meanwhile, committed itself to commence the two-laning works of NH-2 “at the earliest but not exceeding three months” with effect from April 17.
