The 39th fresher’s day of Baptist College, Kohima and Sechü campus was held under the theme ‘Through Adversity to the Stars’ in State Academy Hall on November 9 with N Bhavani Sri, IAS, ADC as the guest speaker. The highlight of the programme was the contest of Mr and Miss Fresher 2021 where Chubanungba Imsong and Syntia Chemtok were adjudged the winners. The programme began with invocation by Kedo Peseyie, chaplain, Baptist College Fellowship, followed by welcome address by Chutatu Thurr, President, Students’ council. Speeches on behalf of seniors and fresher were delivered by Khriesavituo Chüsi and Shuiyan Jennifer Yannahu respectively, exhortation was said by Dr Kekuchol Pusa, Principal, Baptist College Kohima, vote of thanks by Keneinguzo Rio, General Secretary, Students’ Council and benediction by Wekehete-U Thopi.
