Senapati, May 16 (MExN): ‘Barak (Spring) Festival’ will be held on May 22 and 23. The festival is a continuation of the activities of annual Barak Festival celebrated from December 11-13, which could not be held last year due to “unfavourable situation” happening at that time. The spring festival will showcase the rich traditions and culture of the various tribes who have been nurtured by the Barak, informed a press release from Convenor, Organising Committee, Barak (Spring) Festival. Some of the highlights of the festival are: trekking, entertainments, various contests, folk songs & dances, exhibition and sale of indigenous local produce.
