BARC displays societal technologies at Hornbill

  Kohima, December 3 (MExN): The “Department of Atomic Energy (DAE) Technologies Display and Dissemination Facility” (DTDDF), SASRD (School of Agricultural Sciences and Rural Development), Nagaland University (NU) has organised display and dissemination of societal technologies of Bhabha Atomic Research Centre (BARC), Mumbai at Hornbill festival.   BARC is a pioneer nuclear research institute and directly under the control of the office of the Prime Minister, Government of India and produced more than 140 technologies for common people and society of the country. Various societal technologies of BARC, namely, ‘TELE-ECG’, ‘Domestic Water Purifier’, ‘Foldable Solar Dryer’ (FSD), ‘Soil Organic Carbon Detection Kit (SOCDK), ‘Irradiated food items’ and ‘Fluoride Detection Kit’ (FDK) have were displayed and demonstrated for awareness, and transfer to the entrepreneurs and business houses to start their production and business by procuring license from BARC.   Stall will be kept open for next few days and all interested unemployed and aspiring entrepreneur and industry/business (small/large scale) are welcomed to come and interact with scientist/functionaries for detail information, procedural guidelines for license of different technologies and to gain 1st hand experience about different technologies to start own business/production firm.   Interested people may also contact to DTDDF office at SASRD, NU for further details of different technologies and information related to technologies and its transfers, a press release from SARD/NU informed.
