
Kohima, March 23 (MExN): The Bayavü Area Panchayat has cautioned all residents and youths of the colony to be vigilant and alert, day and night, in view of car thefts and attempt to burn vehicle which happened in the colony recently.
In a press release, the Panchayat informed that two-three cases of vehicle thefts have been reported between March 10-22 in the colony. “Some miscreant had attempted to steal vehicles in the colony - 1 (One) Black Safari and another Grey Wagon R; also attempted to burn one Wagon R and partially burnt a Hyundai i10 Sportz in the colony,” it added.
Meanwhile, the colony declared that “whosoever is caught in the colony for any such theft cases shall be held responsible for all such incidents and will not be released without the consent of the Panchayat.” The Panchayat also warned that it will take whatever necessary action it deems fit for any such incidents within its jurisdiction. It further appealed to the Police department to take note of the situation for immediate necessary action.
