Kohima, April 13 (MExN): The Minister of Health & Family Welfare (H&FW) S Pangnyu Phom has urged all the doctors and nurses to be more dedicated and sincere in their work.
In his address at the State level departmental review meeting on April 13 at the H&FW directorate conference hall here, he further asked for the co-operation of all health personnel for effective delivery of healthcare services and to ensure timely provision of all assured entitlements to the beneficiaries, especially the women and people with disabilities.
As per a press release from IEC Bureau, Directorate of Health & Family Welfare, Pangnyu noted that under Swachh Bharat Abhiyan, weekly cleanliness drive should be initiated in all health units and establishments.
Stressing on the problems and issues brought out from all the districts, the minister stated that all the problems cannot be solved in a year, but will be addressed in a phase manner and that distribution of resources will be done rationally so that people across the State are not deprived of the much need healthcare facilities.
The provisions of Service Rule which was amended recently will be implemented to streamline placement of doctors and ensure all doctors get equal opportunity, he added.
The inaugural function commenced with a welcome address by Dr. Meguosielie Kire, Principal Director (H&FW) followed by an overview of departmental activities from Dr. Vizolie Suokhrie, Director (FW), Dr. Kevichusa Medikhru, Mission Director (NHM), and Dr. Ngangshimeren, Project Director (NSACS).
During the meeting, all the Chief Medical Officers shared their problems and grievances, the release said.
R. Ramakrishnan, Commissioner & Secretary, H&FW gave the concluding remarks, where he emphasised on updating the departmental website so as to receive the latest updates, and also to enforce biometric attendance system within 100 days in all the districts of the State.
