'Be receptive to new ideas, challenges'

Commissioner of Police, Dimapur, Limasunep Jamir, IPS on Friday urged students to be receptive to new ideas and challenges keeping in mind the fast changing and developing global world.  

Speaking as special guest during the 25th annual social cum cultural day of Immanuel College, Dimapur, Limasunep said acquiring an educational degree was not a final destination and emphasized on the importance to develop self awareness about oneself.  

He also cautioned students against making false comparisons with others but to understand their true strength and have reasonable view of the future in tune with what subject they were studying.  

The special guest further urged the students not to ascribe success in life in terms of money earned but try to leave a legacy through honest earning and honourable achievements.  

Limasunep also called for developing a multidisciplinary approach as they journey towards achieving their goal.  

“We need to have a creative mind, develop an ethical mind and to make God central to your life,” he said.  

Chairman, Governing Body of Immanuel College, Dr. Loso Chalai encouraged the students to continue exhibiting their capabilities and produce a new breed of generation.  

The programme was attended by teachers of the College, members of Lengrijan Village Council and students from various educational institutions in Dimapur.
