A short film by Designer Imchatsung Imchen titled ‘The Beaded Dress’ featuring Esther Jamir was released on Thursday, June 29 on YouTube. The film showcases a garment with beads in red and transparent colour threaded by hand to various lengths. The strings were draped over a textile used as lining (woven in Nagaland). Cowry shells were used as epaulette and also on the back of the garment for detail (like drops) and also to hold the beaded strings. The mood for the film was inspired by ‘Apulio Lizo' (Reprise) a song by the Tetseo Sisters.
