B.Ed. association not to pursue case in Court

Dimapur, February 13 (MExN): All Nagaland Pre-Service B.Ed. Association has decided not to pursue the selected candidate’s case before the Court of law but take up the matter with the Government.

A press note issued by All Nagaland Pre-Service B.Ed. Association, President, I. Imliyatet and Vice-President, Benkiya stated that the Commissioner & Secretary, School Education conceded during a meeting held on February 8 that “the Government had conducted the Teachers’ Selection 2012 without conforming with the provisions of the Right to Education Act 2009, and the rules framed there under. But assured that if the B.Ed. candidates should only approach the Government instead of pursuing the case before the Court of law, their grievances should be addressed as sufficient vacancies are still available.”

“Having considered the difficult position in which the selected candidates are placed for no fault of their own and empathizing with their problem, the Association decided to forgo our own legal rights and not pursue the case before the Court of law but take up the matter with the government as advised by the Commissioner & Secretary, School Education Nagaland,” the release stated.

The meeting was held on February 8, 2013 with the Selected Teachers’ Association, Naga Mothers’ Association and Commissioner & Secretary, School Education, Nagaland in the Office Chamber of the Commissioner & Secretary, School Education.
