
Dimapur, March 8 (MExN): International Women's Day was celebrated at Immanuel College, organised by the Women Cell on March 8 at the College Auditorium for the female faculty members and students.
Merensola Imchen, Counsellor and Chaplain, Dimapur Mission Higher Secondary School, who was the speaker on the day highlighted on the uniqueness of women and how women are “exquisite creatures beautifully crafted and created by God”.
“To be a woman, requires enormous amount of strength,” she said and opined that a strong woman and her essence is a gift to the world and just being a woman is God's gift, which all women must appreciate.
A press release issued by Immanuel College, Media Cell, convener, Akutu Poireng stated that the programme was led by Moanaro Jamir, Assistant Professor, Department of Political Science, invocation by Lothunglo Ngullie, HOD Department of Botany, special number presented by Wadangnola (B.SC 2nd Sem), vote of thanks was delivered by Sungjemmenla Jamir, HOD, Department of Economics. The programme concluded with benediction by Imjungla Imchen, Assistant Professor Department of History.
