Kohima, October 6 (MExN): The Bengaluru phase of 15-day National Integration Tour (NIT) organised by Assam Rifles for 20 students and 4 teachers of Government Higher Secondary School Meluri concluded on October 5.

Later, the students departed for Belgaum on October 5. Thereafter, they will also visit Delhi.

The Bengaluru Phase of the tour empowered the young minds of the enthusiastic students who have embarked on an this unforgettable journey with Assam Rifles.

At Bangalore, the students were exposed to India's rich cultural heritage, historical landmarks, and iconic institutions.

The students visited National Military Memorial, paying tribute to India's bravehearts, the magnificent Bangalore Palace, marveling at its grandeur and history followed by National Gallery of Modern Art, discovering contemporary art and Jawaharlal Nehru Planetarium, exploring astronomy and science.

The students were also taken to Lal Bagh Botanical Garden, experiencing nature's serenity and Tipu Sultan Summer Palace, uncovering Mysore's royal legacy.

The students were given a tour of the ASC Center showcasing the very places where solders are forged in steel, charging up the students with patriotism with the Commandant addressing them.

\ In the evening, Assam Rifles treated the children to a shopping spree at UB City Mall, introducing them to modern retail therapy.

The tour has broadened the horizons for the students, fostering national unity and encouraging cultural exchange to develop essential life skills. 

By investing in the future of Northeast India's youth, Assam Rifles reaffirmed its commitment to nation-building, community development, and empowering young minds.
