Kohima, June 23 (MExN): The Bethel Baptist Church, Kohima, celebrated its Foundation Day on Sunday at New Market Kohima.
The service brought together members, church leaders, and well-wishers in a solemn yet joyous occasion that highlighted both the church’s journey and the testimonies of faith within the community.

The celebration was led by Azonuo Chale, Chairman of the Women’s Department, while the day’s message was delivered by Khrienuo Moa, Managing Director of G. Rio School.

The worship service commenced with a Call to Worship by the team under the leadership of Bangmei.

A special duet was presented by Visakholie Andrew and Milya Bumaye and special praise performance by Atoka Swu.

Suisui, a cancer survivor, shared her personal journey of diagnosis, suffering, healing, and faith. With deep gratitude, she recounted how prayer, faith, and community support carried her through her illness, testifying to the miraculous healing power of God.

Bethel Baptist Church, formerly known as Bethel Baptist Fellowship (BBF), had its new church building formally dedicated on June 25, 2023, at New Market, Kohima.

According to Pastor Avilie Punyü, the church began as a small fellowship in 2023 to meet the spiritual needs of residents in the New Market area.

“What began as a humble gathering has now grown into a vibrant church comprising members from various Naga tribes as well as believers from mainland India,” he stated.
