
Dimapur, November 23 (MExN): Block Farmers Advisory Committee (BFAC) meeting was held at ATMA Training hall, Dimapur, organised by ATMA-Dimapur, Kuhuboto Block on October 4.
Atoshe, Farmers Friend said the invocation and welcome address was given by Visheli, Chairperson (BFAC) & farmers’ friend, Kuhuboto Block. Akavi V. Holo, BTM (ATMA) and secretary of BFAC, Kuhuboto Block highlighted the meeting minutes to the members and asked the members any points to be discussed during the meeting since this is the last meeting for the current year.
Yimobendang, ATM (ATMA), Kuhuboto Block gave a brief highlight on the activities of ATMA and its functioning in the block level. He illustrated on the various trainings and demonstrations undertaken in the block so far for the current year (2015-16). He elaborated on the different farm school and Food Security Group (FSG) opened under Kuhuboto block.
The members actively participated in the meeting by sharing their views and opinion and they also shared how the farmers are benefitted in the farming sector through the service and knowledge provided by the Extension service like ATMA.
Ameto Yeptho, ATM (ATMA), Kuhuboto Block pronounced vote of thanks. The meeting concluded with a interaction among the members on various topics related to agricultural extension and its allied sectors. Altogether 24 BFAC members attended the meeting.
