Dimapur, October 23 (MExN): Don Bosco Higher Secondary School (DBHSS), Dimapur conducted the Bharat Scout and Guide investiture ceremony on October 20. A press communiqué informed that the new scouts and guides had to go through rigorous testing on the knowledge of Scouting & Guiding, parts of uniform, and significance of National Flag, World Scout & Guide Flag, Bharat Scout & Guide Flag, Scout/Guide Promise and Law, National Anthem, BSG Prayer and Flag Song.
While addressing the newly invested Scouts and Guides, DM Agay Joseph, District Organising Commissioner congratulated and welcomed them into the ‘Movement of World Brotherhood of Scouting and Sisterhood of Guiding.’ He urged them to act on the motto ‘Be prepared’ at all times. A total of 45 Scouts were invested by Scout Masters Limnoba, Clement Beck, and Lawrence Guria under the leadership of the District Organising Commissioner and 22 Guides were invested by Ruth and Lydia into the Bharat Scouts & Guides movement in the presence of their parents, the communiqué stated. The newly invested scouts and guides took oath to do their duty to God, serving the country and help others at all times and obey the Scout/Guide Law.
