New Delhi, June 17 (UNI) Bhutan has assured India that it would not allow its territories to be used for inimical activities even as India hoped that the neighbouring country would promptly share intelligence inputs with her in view of the open and porous borders between the two nations. An official statement said here today that these issues of mutual concerns were discussed yesterday between the meeting of Bhutan Home Minister Lyonpo Dawa Gyeltshen and Sashastra Seema Bal (SSB) Director General Archana Ramasundaram, who is on an official visit to Bhutan. "As the borders are open and porous between the two friendly nations, most of the border guarding operations had to be based on prompt sharing of inputs and good intelligence," Ms Ramasundaram said. Mr Gyeltshen appreciated the tough action taken by the SSB in recent years resulting in putting an end to the kidnapping of Bhutanese national for ransom. The meeting was followed by a small presentation from SSB side which was attended by Bhutan Home Secretary Dasho Sonam Topgay, Bhutan police chief Chimi Dorji and others. UNI PY SW SNU 1922.
